You have to "feel it" to believe it! Resembling a human gyroscope, the Orbitron was originally inspired by a N.A.S.A. design as a machine to train astronauts in dealing with weightlessness while rotating 360 degrees in three dimensions simultaneously. Orbitrons work on the principles of gravity, inertia, centrifugal force, and are non-motorized. The unit stands approximately 10.5ft tall, on a single axle trailer base approx. 6x6', weighing 1480lbs. The rider is strapped into the center of three concentric rings which in turn are connected by six wheel bearing joints that allow each ring freedom of movement in any of three directions at once! Riders may control the Orbitron to achieve an aerobic workout at their own pace by shifting their weight, or the ride instructor may control the ride by giving a gentle push to set the Orbitron in motion. Space is the final frontier - are you ready?
